Investment Analyst, Paris
International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, is a global investor and advisor committed to promoting projects in its developing member countries that are economically beneficial, financially and commercially sound, and environmentally and socially sustainable. IFC finances private sector investments, mobilizes capital in the international financial markets, helps clients improve social and environmental sustainability, and provides technical assistance and advice to governments and businesses in the developing world.IFC is enhancing its presence in Western Europe to strengthen and extend its networks with the European business community, financial institutions and governments. In this context, IFC is recruiting an Investment Analyst to support the business development activities of the investment team in Paris by conducting market analysis, providing market data, building financial models and keeping the relationship with new and existing clients. He/she will also provide assistance to visiting missions and help to organize financial workshops and other events to span a wide net of business contacts. The position is based in Paris, and will report to a senior member of the investment team, with final overview by the Special Representative for Europe, based in Paris.Responsibilities-Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-Create financial models -Analyze historical and projected financial statements -Conduct industry and market research -Review company information -Prepare documentation for IFC internal processes -Participate in investment negotiationsSelection Criteria-Bachelor's or equivalent degree -2 to 3 years work experience in finance (internships included)-Strong analytical and conceptual skills including corporate/project finance -Ability to develop complex financial models -Keen interest in development finance and multicultural environments -Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing -Fluency in English and French; additional language skills are of advantageHow to Apply-Please apply online via
